Top 100 accolade for home improvers!

January 11 2012

A Home improvement business opened 2012 with a prestigious prize.  Gaerwen-based Peninsula Home Improvements was voted one of the UK's top 100 installers by respected trade organisation, the Master Window and Conservatory Installers Association (MWCIA).  It is the only company in Wales to receive the accolade.  Founded by Don Waterworth, the MWCIA said compiling a list of the top window and conservatory companies was essential to enable consumers to easily recognise the most professional companies operating in that sector in the UK.

Prior to being awarded, building surveyor members of the association randomly selected a cross section of Peninsula's past customers, inspected the work they'd commissioned and independantly questioned them about how satisfied they were with the work carried out.  Making the presentation at the award ceremony, which took place at Peninsula Headquarters near Gaerwen, Mr. Waterworth said: "By dealing with one of the Top 100 window and conservatory companies, the element of risk has been removed for the consumer because they can be assured that they will receive a polite and respectful service, high quality products and professional installation."

Commenting afterwards, Peninsula MD Ken Grayson told Business post: "The two top priorities for Peninsula and its sister company Heritage Hardwood Conservatories has always been quality and customer satisfaction.  We invest a lot of time and money in product development and staff training."

He added:, "It is a great honour that this has once again been recognised, especially by such a prestigious organisation as the Master Window and Conservatory Installers Association."  Don Waterworth is currently involved in an advisory role in the filming of the forthcoming series of Channel 5's 'Cowboy Builders' featuring Dom Littlewood, scourge of 'Cowboy Contractors.'
He has also worked with Dom before on the BBC's consumer protection programme, 'Don't get done, get Dom.'

In a nutshell the experience of Peninsula has left me with a warm glow and I am certain that I have made a good investment.
